Thailand continues to be an incredibly inspiring market for us. Today, we are thrilled to present the latest generation of our electrified sports cars, including the all-new, fully electric Macan and the comprehensively revised Taycan, alongside other exceptional models that embody the Porsche spirit at the Motor Expo 2024, capping off a truly remarkable year.”
The Apex of Electric Performance: Taycan Turbo GT Makes its Thai Debut
Headlining Porsche’s presence at the Motor Expo 2024 is the phenomenal 2025 Taycan Turbo GT. This is not just another electric car; it’s a record-breaking machine that has shattered lap times at three prestigious circuits across three continents – Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in North America, the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Europe, and the Shanghai International Circuit in Asia. Its arrival in Thailand marks a pivotal moment for electric performance vehicles in the region.
The Taycan Turbo GT is engineered for ultimate speed and efficiency. It boasts a more powerful and efficient inverter featuring silicon carbide technology in the rear electric motor. Both models are equipped with a standard 1,034 horsepower output, which can be temporarily boosted to over 1,100 horsepower via the ‘Attack Mode,’ providing an explosive surge of power for extraordinary acceleration and overtaking.
Porsche’s commitment to lightweight construction is evident in the Taycan Turbo GT, which sheds an impressive 75 kilograms compared to the Taycan Turbo S. The chassis features the track-focused Porsche Active Ride suspension system as standard, meticulously tuned to deliver unparalleled handling dynamics and ride comfort.
Complementing the Turbo GT, other Taycan variants will also be on display, showcasing the comprehensive enhancements across the entire Taycan lineup. Porsche has elevated the Taycan with increased power output, extended range, sharper acceleration, and faster, more stable charging capabilities. The design has been meticulously refined, creating a more distinct and athletic presence, especially for the Turbo models. Each Taycan model comes equipped with an even more impressive list of standard features and the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience, offering a fully digital display, extensive customization options, and intuitive user-friendliness. This emphasis on performance electric cars in Thailand positions Porsche at the forefront of automotive innovation.
The Dawn of a New Era: All-Electric Macan Unveiled
Following its exclusive preview at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Bangkok, the all-new, all-electric Macan makes its public debut at the Motor Expo 2024. As Porsche’s first all-electric SUV, the new Macan embodies timeless design, signature Porsche performance, extended range, and everyday practicality, perfectly aligning with the desires of SUV customers seeking an electrified Porsche experience.
The performance figures speak volumes about the E-Performance capabilities. The Macan can deliver up to 265 kW (360 PS) of power, while the top-tier Macan Turbo produces a staggering 470 kW (639 PS). Torque figures range from 563 Nm to an immense 1,130 Nm. The Macan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 5.7 seconds, with the Macan Turbo achieving this benchmark in a mere 3.3 seconds.
Built on Porsche’s newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with an 800-volt architecture, the all-electric Macan offers rapid DC charging capabilities of up to 270 kW. Under optimal conditions, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 21 minutes. AC charging at up to 11 kW is also available for convenient home charging.
The exterior design is instantly recognizable as a Porsche, characterized by its flowing lines and a sleek, flat rear window. The newly designed headlights feature four-point DRLs and optional LED Matrix main beam modules, contributing to a more slender and sporty appearance. The signature raised front wings, typical of Porsche design, emphasize the muscularity of both the front and rear. At the rear, the Porsche logo is centrally integrated into a striking 3D light bar.
The fully electric powertrain allows for an extended wheelbase, translating into a more spacious interior and increased luggage capacity. Depending on the model and configuration, the rear luggage compartment can hold up to 540 liters. Additionally, the ‘frunk’ – a front trunk storage compartment – offers a further 84 liters of space.
The interior exudes classic Porsche craftsmanship, with a wide, integrated black panel emphasizing the cabin’s spaciousness. Alongside a modern digital interface featuring a 12.6-inch curved instrument display, the cabin retains select analogue controls for air vents and climate functions. An ambient and communication LED light strip is integrated into the cockpit and doors, enhancing the overall experience. The new electric SUV in Thailand sets a new benchmark for its segment.
The Legend Reimagined: Updated Porsche 911 Carrera Arrives
Porsche continues to honor its iconic sports car with significant upgrades to the 911. The refreshed 911 Carrera now features an improved 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine. Benefiting from new turbochargers derived from the 911 GTS and an advanced intercooler system from the 911 Turbo, the new 911 Carrera now produces 290 kW (394 PS) and 450 Nm of torque.
This power boost allows the 911 Carrera Coupé to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package), reaching a top speed of 294 km/h. These enhancements underscore significant improvements in both speed and overall performance.
The evolution extends to the exterior, with optimized aerodynamics and a new model-specific front apron featuring larger air intakes. The standard LED Matrix headlights, integrated into a sleek four-point design, contribute to the updated aesthetic.
Inside, the 911 retains its characteristic design while seamlessly integrating modern technology. The new Porsche Driver Experience places key functions within easy reach of the steering wheel, including the drive mode selector and updated controls for driver assistance systems. Notably, the ignition button is now located to the left of the steering wheel, a nod to classic Porsche layouts.
The Coupé model comes with two seats as standard, with an optional 2+2 seating configuration available at no extra cost. The customizable 12.6-inch digital instrument display offers seven different display modes, including a classic five-gauge design with a central tachometer, blending retro appeal with contemporary functionality. The Porsche 911 price in Thailand reflects its iconic status and enhanced capabilities.
The Next Generation of Luxury Hybrid: Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Redefined
The Porsche Panamera enters a new generation with a comprehensively revised exterior and interior design, alongside significant advancements in plug-in hybrid technology and overall innovation. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid on display at Motor Expo 2024 features a new electric motor integrated into the re-engineered 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. This combination delivers impressive performance, with a total system output of 346 kW (470 PS). Its all-electric range has been significantly extended to 91 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, more than sufficient for daily urban commutes.
Standard across all Panamera variants are the two-chamber air suspension with two-valve control and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Optionally, the innovative Porsche Active Ride suspension is available for E-Hybrid models, offering exceptional levels of grip, cornering performance, and superior ride comfort.
The new Panamera models showcase a more dynamic, athletic, and modern design language. The front is characterized by new standard Matrix LED headlights and horizontal air intakes that differ from the predecessor. At the rear, a continuous light strip and frameless rear window give the new Panamera a distinct and striking profile.
The interior and cockpit have been thoroughly redesigned, featuring a 12.6-inch digital instrument display, a new gear selector to the left of the steering wheel, and an optional 10.6-inch passenger display to enhance the overall occupant experience. The new Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid represents the pinnacle of luxury and efficiency.
