Headlining the Porsche display is the awe-inspiring Taycan Turbo GT, making its Thailand debut after a sensational performance that saw it shatter lap records at three legendary circuits across three continents: Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in North America, the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Europe, and the Shanghai International Circuit in Asia. This electric hypercar has solidified its position as the undisputed champion of electrified performance.
The Taycan Turbo GT is engineered for ultimate speed and efficiency. It boasts a more powerful and efficient inverter, featuring silicon carbide in its rear electric motor for enhanced performance. Both variants deliver a standard 1,034 horsepower, with an additional temporary boost of up to 120 kW (163 PS) available via the ‘Attack Mode’ function, pushing the output beyond 1,100 horsepower for exhilarating overtakes.
Weight optimization has been a key focus, resulting in a remarkable 75 kg reduction compared to the Taycan Turbo S. The All-Electric Macan: The Future of the Sports SUV
Following its exclusive preview at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Bangkok, the all-new Macan, now fully electric, makes its public debut at the Motor Expo. This marks a significant moment as Porsche introduces its first all-electric SUV, a vehicle that seamlessly blends timeless design with signature Porsche performance, extended range, and everyday usability. The new Macan is meticulously crafted to meet the diverse needs of Porsche SUV clientele.
The E-Performance figures are nothing short of extraordinary. The Macan can generate up to 265 kW (360 PS), while the top-tier Macan Turbo achieves an astounding 470 kW (639 PS). Torque figures range from a substantial 563 Nm to an immense 1,130 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is a brisk 5.7 seconds for the Macan, and a blistering 3.3 seconds for the Macan Turbo.
Built on the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture, the electric Macan supports DC charging with an impressive peak output of up to 270 kW. This means a charge from 10 to 80 percent can be accomplished in approximately 21 minutes under optimal conditions. AC charging at up to 11 kW is also available for convenient home charging.
The design language is unmistakably Porsche, characterized by its flowing lines that integrate with a flat rear window. The reimagined headlights, featuring four-point daytime running lights and optional Matrix LED main modules, create a sleeker, sportier profile. The pronounced, sculpted front wings flow dynamically towards the rear, exuding a sense of power and presence. The design revisions extend throughout the vehicle, with aerodynamic enhancements including a new model-specific front bumper featuring larger air intakes. The standard LED Matrix headlights, incorporating all lighting functions into a sleek, four-point design, further refine the iconic silhouette.
Inside, the 911 retains its characteristic layout while seamlessly integrating modern technology. The new Porsche Driver Experience places essential functions within easy reach of the steering wheel, including the drive mode selector and updated controls for driver assistance systems. As standard, all Panamera models are equipped with two-chamber air suspension and two-valve control units for the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
