This year’s showcase, held at IMPACT Challenger Halls, marks a significant milestone for the iconic German marque, highlighting its unwavering commitment to performance, electrification, and cutting-edge design. From the lightning-fast Taycan Turbo GT to the all-electric Macan and the refined 911 Carrera and Panamera, Porsche’s presence at Motor Expo 2024 is nothing short of a declaration of intent – to redefine automotive excellence in Thailand. Mr. Tim Walkowiak, Regional Director of Porsche Asia Pacific, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This year’s Motor Expo is particularly special for Porsche. It’s a year where we’ve achieved numerous significant milestones, from the local assembly of the first Cayenne S E-Hybrid in the region for the Thai market to the announcement of the first Porsche Design Tower in Asia, set to rise in Bangkok. Thailand is a truly inspiring market for us.” He continued, “Today, we are thrilled to present our latest generation of electric and electrified sports cars, including the all-new, fully electric Macan and the comprehensively redeveloped Taycan, alongside several other exceptional sports cars at the Motor Expo 2024. This is our way of concluding a phenomenal year on a high note.” Taycan Turbo GT: The New Electrified Track Conqueror Hits Thai Shores The undisputed star of the Porsche pavilion is the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT, a hypercar that has already etched its name in automotive history by conquering legendary circuits across three continents. Following record-breaking performances at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca (North America), the Nürburgring Nordschleife (Europe), and the Shanghai International Circuit (Asia), the Taycan Turbo GT arrives in Thailand as the new benchmark for electric performance vehicles. This groundbreaking electric sports car is engineered for ultimate speed and precision. At the heart of the Taycan Turbo GT lies an advanced inverter, incorporating silicon carbide technology in the rear electric motor for enhanced power and efficiency. Both variants boast a formidable 1,034 horsepower as standard, with the ‘Attack Mode’ unleashing a temporary surge of up to 120 kW, pushing the output beyond 1,100 horsepower for breathtaking acceleration and overtakes.
Porsche’s meticulous focus on lightweight construction has resulted in a weight reduction of up to 75 kilograms compared to the Taycan Turbo S, further enhancing its agility and responsiveness. The standard equipment includes the specially tuned Porsche Active Ride suspension, delivering an unparalleled blend of dynamic handling and sublime comfort. The new Porsche Taycan models on display also showcase the comprehensive updates across the entire Taycan range, featuring increased power, extended range, faster acceleration, and more stable, rapid charging capabilities. Visually, the Taycan range has been sharpened with distinct design cues, particularly for the Turbo variants. The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT price in Thailand is expected to reflect its status as a pinnacle of electric performance. All Taycan models exhibited at the Motor Expo 2024 feature an impressive array of standard equipment and the latest iteration of the Porsche Driver Experience, offering a fully digital display, extensive customization options, and intuitive user operation. For those seeking the ultimate electric car Thailand has to offer, the Taycan Turbo GT is a must-see. The All-Electric Macan: A New Era of Electrified SUV Performance Following its exclusive preview at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Bangkok, the all-new electric Macan makes its public debut at the Motor Expo 2024. This marks a monumental step for Porsche as it introduces its first-ever fully electric SUV, designed to embody the brand’s timeless design language, signature driving dynamics, extended range, and everyday practicality. The Porsche Macan electric price is anticipated to be competitive within the premium EV segment. The performance figures are nothing short of electrifying. The Macan can generate up to 265 kW (360 hp), while the top-tier Macan Turbo delivers a staggering 470 kW (639 hp). Torque figures range from 563 Nm to an immense 1,130 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in a brisk 5.7 seconds for the base Macan, and an astonishing 3.3 seconds for the Macan Turbo. Built on Porsche’s newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture with an 800-volt system, the Macan enables DC charging speeds of up to 270 kW. Under ideal conditions, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 21 minutes. AC charging at up to 11 kW is also supported, convenient for home wall charger installations. The design of the new Porsche Macan 2025 is instantly recognizable as a Porsche, with flowing lines connecting to a flat rear window. The redesigned front features four-point LED daytime running lights and optional LED Matrix main headlights, creating a sleeker, sportier aesthetic. The pronounced, rising shoulder line enhances the muscular stance of both the front and rear. The iconic Porsche logo is centrally integrated into a striking 3D light bar at the rear. The fully electric powertrain has allowed for a significantly increased wheelbase, translating into more generous interior space and larger luggage compartments. Depending on the model and specifications, the rear luggage capacity can reach up to 540 liters, complemented by an 84-liter ‘frunk’ (front trunk). The interior exudes a distinct Porsche character, with a broad, unified black panel emphasizing cabin width. Alongside a modern digital interface, including a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, select analog controls for air vents and climate functions remain. An ambient and communication light strip is integrated into the cabin and doors, enhancing both atmosphere and signaling. For those interested in new electric SUVs in Thailand, the Macan is a game-changer. The Iconic 911 Carrera: Enhanced Performance and Iconic Design Porsche continues to elevate its legendary 911 sports car with significant upgrades, starting with the fundamental 911 Carrera variants. These new models are powered by an improved 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, now benefiting from turbochargers derived from the 911 GTS and an advanced intercooler system from the 911 Turbo. This synergy results in an impressive output of 290 kW (394 hp) and 450 Nm of torque for the 911 Carrera. Consequently, the 911 Carrera Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package), reaching a top speed of 294 km/h – a testament to its enhanced speed and performance capabilities.
These enhancements extend throughout the vehicle. Aerodynamics have been optimized with a new, model-specific front apron featuring larger air intakes. Standard LED Matrix main headlights with integrated four-point daytime running lights contribute to the sleek, refined look. Inside, the 911 retains its iconic layout while seamlessly integrating modern technology. The new Porsche Driver Experience places key functions within easy reach of the steering wheel, including the drive mode selector and updated controls for driver assistance systems. Notably, the start button is now positioned to the left of the steering wheel, a nod to motorsport heritage. The Coupé model comes with two seats as standard, with an optional 2+2 seating configuration available at no extra cost. The customizable 12.6-inch digital display offers seven different view modes, including a classic five-dial design with a central tachometer, evoking a nostalgic feel within the contemporary cabin. For enthusiasts seeking performance cars Thailand has to offer, the updated 911 Carrera is a compelling choice. Panamera 4 E-Hybrid: Redefined Luxury and Electrified Powertrain The new generation Porsche Panamera makes a striking appearance, boasting comprehensive exterior and interior design refinements, advanced plug-in hybrid technology, and a host of innovations. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid on display features a new electric motor integrated into the redesigned 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. This potent combination delivers an impressive system output of 346 kW (470 hp) and an all-electric range of up to 91 kilometers (WLTP), more than sufficient for daily urban commutes. Porsche equips all Panamera variants with standard two-chamber air suspension and two-valve control, along with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). An optional, innovative Porsche Active Ride suspension is available for E-Hybrid models, offering exceptional road holding, cornering performance, and a superior level of ride comfort. Every new Panamera model showcases a more dynamic and contemporary design language. The front is characterized by standard LED Matrix headlights and additional horizontal air intakes compared to its predecessor. At the rear, a continuous taillight strip and frameless rear window lend the Panamera a distinctive and sophisticated presence. The interior and cockpit have been completely redeveloped. The digital display measures 12.6 inches, and a new gear selector is positioned to the left of the steering wheel. An optional 10.6-inch passenger display is available to enhance the overall experience for everyone on board. The Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid price reflects its position as a premium plug-in hybrid sports sedan. A Comprehensive Porsche Showcase at Motor Expo 2024 Beyond these four headline models, Porsche Thailand is exhibiting a comprehensive lineup of 13 vehicles, covering the brand’s diverse portfolio. Among the highlights are the 718 Boxster Style Editions and Cayman, the regionally assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid, and the Manthey Racing-tuned 911 GT3. Visitors can also explore various performance enhancement kits and other exquisite models.
